Founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Marcello Marino, La Ventana offers a variety of nonprofit services to aid the region’s budding hospitality industry, create educational and enrichment opportunities and inspire community connection through the preparation and sharing of food.
La Ventana is located in the emerging multicultural hub of La Porte’s Downtown Historic District, and all are welcome to take a seat at our table.
“We really enjoyed the Cooking Classes for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. Mike was nervous for his first class, but Chef’s enthusiasm and effort to make the entire class feel welcome took away any anxiety he was feeling. It was such a fun experience!
None of the recipes were complicated, yet they all had a unique taste and creativity to them. Mike said his favorite part of the class was being able to try new things.
